Measures to support the extension of the period of activity of workers with discontinuous fixed contracts (tourism, commerce and hospitality)

ROYAL DECREE-LAW 35/2020, OF DECEMBER 22, ON URGENT MEASURES TO SUPPORT THE TOURIST SECTOR, HOSPITALITY AND TRADE AND IN TAX MATTERS.

THIRD ADDITIONAL PROVISION. MEASURES TO SUPPORT THE EXTENSION OF THE PERIOD OF ACTIVITY OF WORKERS WITH DISCONTINUOUS FIXED CONTRACTS IN THE TOURISM AND TRADE AND HOSPITALITY SECTORS LINKED TO THE TOURISM ACTIVITY.

1. Companies that generate productive activity in the months of April to October 2021, and that start or maintain the employment of workers with fixed discontinuous contracts during those months, may apply a bonus in those months of 50% percent of business contributions to Social Security for common contingencies, as well as for the concepts of joint collection of Unemployment, FOGASA and Professional Training of said workers.

2. These bonuses will be compatible with the exemptions of business contributions to Social Security that may correspond. The amount resulting from applying the exemptions and these bonuses may not, in any case, exceed 100 percent of the business quota that would have been paid.
